Safe Harbor

 

The Safe Harbor Act has called for a shift within the justice system toward treating minors involved in sex trafficking as victims instead of criminals. The Safe Harbor Laws are designed to remove the punitive sanctions and prevent minors from being prosecuted for prostitution. The Safe Harbor Act has led to secure safe houses and specialized services for these vulnerable children.
